§ The Prime MinisterThe right hon. Gentleman's letter was received at 10 Downing Street on 26 April. I have asked the Department of Health and Social Security to look into the particular circumstances of the right hon. Gentleman's constituent and will reply to him when I have that information, but the general reasons for the changes proposed in benefit arrangements were set out by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services in his statement on 27 March.
