Friend has received two representations, one from a local resident and the other on behalf of a local action group, requesting that he should call in the redevelopment proposals for his own decision. The replies sent on behalf of my right hon. Friend have indicated that details of the proposals may be referred to him formally since they involve a departure from the development plan, and that it would be inappropriate for him to comment at this stage.
