HC Deb 23 April 1980 vol 983 c193W
34. Mr. Whitlock

asked the Minister of Transport whether, because of the level of cash limits for 1979–80, the amount of trunk road construction achieved fell be low that which had been planned.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I refer the hon. member to the replies to the hon. Member for Dearne Valley (Mr. Wainwright) on 30 January.—[Vol. 977, c. 699–700.] Final figures of outturn expenditure on motorway and trunk road construction are not yet available, but are expected to be equivalent to about £287 million at 1979 survey prices.
