§ Mr. Churchillasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether, in the light of the reference in paragraph 211 of Cmnd. 7826–I to known improvements to Soviet anti-ballistic missile capabilities, Her Majesty's Government have evidence of any breach by the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics of the anti-ballistic missile agreement.
§ Mr. PymNo. Article VII of the treaty between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on the limitation of anti-ballistic missile systems permits the modernisation and replacement of ABM systems or their components subject to the provisions of the treaty.
