HC Deb 14 April 1980 vol 982 c472W
Mr. Michael Brown

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if it is Government policy that the transmission of citizenship of the United Kingdom and colonies to those born abroad should continue to be made only through the male parent.

Mr. Raison

The transmission of citizenship to children born overseas to parents who were born in the United Kingdom will be among the matters dealt with in the forthcoming White Paper on changes in our nationality law.
