§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will change the regulations affecting an unemployed person who declares occasional earnings from casual work in a way that ensures that although his unemployment benefit will be reduced in line with his earnings, there will be no effect on his national insurance credit unless his casual earnings amount to more than the level appropriate at that time for family income supplement determination.
