§ Mr. Hillasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consideration he has given to introducing legislation to provide that a compulsory returnable charge be made at the point of sale on all bottles and cans containing beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
§ Mr. FoxA comprehensive study into the beverage container system is at present being undertaken by the packaging and container working group of the Waste Management Advisory Council. The Government await the group's report, which is expected shortly.
