§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Prime Minister if it is the policy of Her Majesty's Government that the results of the Northern Ireland constitutional conference should be considered by an Ulster committee consisting of the Secretaries of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Defence, the Home Department and Northern Ireland and the Lord Chancellor; and what form that Committee will take.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Government are now considering the progress made by the conference. As to whether this consideration is being undertaken by an Ulster committee, I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Newcastle-upon-Tyne, East (Mr. Thomas) on 24 May 1979 concerning the Government's policy on the release of information regarding Cabinet committees.
