§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will carry out an inquiry into the effectiveness of his Department's East Midland's region (planning) office at Cranbrook House, Nottingham, in the light of the fact that no inspection was carried out within six months, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1971, of the Oadby (Beaumont Street) Tree Preservation Order 1978 site, despite proper notification having been given, resulting in the lapsing of the order and the felling of the trees in question by a developer.
