§ Mr. Peter WalkerNegotiations will be resumed at the next meeting of the Council of Fisheries Ministers, which is currently scheduled for 29–30 October. In recent months United Kingdom Ministers have held a series of bilateral meetings with Fisheries Ministers from most other member States. I have twice asked228W for a meeting with the French Fisheries Minister and I now hope that we shall meet before the Fisheries Council in Luxembourg.
§ Mr. Richard Shepherdasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on what date fishing vessels from other member States of the European Economic Community will be permitted free access to British waters in terms of Great Britain's membership of the Community in the absence of any new European Economic Community agreement on fishing limits and catches.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithArticle 103 of the Treaty of Accession provides that, before 31 December 1982, the Commission shall present a report to the Council on the economic and social development of the coastal areas of the member States and on the state of fish stocks. On the basis of that report the Council, acting on a proposal from the Commission, shall examine the provisions which could follow the derogations in force until 31 December 1982.
