§ Mr. SpeedIt is planned that Her Majesty's Dockyard, Rosyth, will continue to refit nuclear submarines, frigates, mine countermeasures vessels and other smaller vessels and craft. Some modernisation work may be undertaken during the refits. The aim is to maintain the numbers employed in the dockyard at approximately the present level.
At the Clyde submarine base, Faslane, routine equipping and maintenance of submarines is undertaken by naval technical staff, but no upgrading or refitting work is carried out there.
