Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many small businesses feature on the approved list of suppliers maintained by his Department for purchase contracts by means of selective tender.

Records of the numbers of small businesses on Home Office approved lists for purchasing contracts of goods and services are not maintained, but the Department's best estimate suggests that about 1,500 are included.
