§ Mr. Fieldasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the numbers claiming invalidity benefit and if these data could be also presented according to (a) the claimant's age, (b) whether the claimant has a spouse and (c) one child, two, three, or four or more dependent children.
§ Mr. PrenticeThe following tables give the numbers receiving invalidity benefit on 3 June 1978, the latest date for which figures are available. The dependants shown are those for whom an increase of benefit was claimed. Only in exceptional cases will the "adult" dependant not be the spouse.
