§ Mr. StanleyEstimates of the numbers who will become eligible for rent rebates, rent allowances and rate rebates as a result of the new £5 earnings disregard are necessarily subject to a wide margin of error. It is, however, possible that the numbers in question could be as follows:
Rent rebates 90,000 Rent allowances (unfurnished sector) 14,000 Rate rebates 270,000
