§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) whether he has any plans to abolish section 37 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1970;
(2) when he plans to publish the Green Paper on eliminating discrimination against women in the taxation system;
(3) if he has any plans to make further changes to the personal income tax system to reduce discrimination between the sexes; and if he will make a statement;
(4) if, in any further financial measures for which he is responsible, he will ensure that no further discriminatory measures between the sexes will be included in the personal taxation system;
(5) whether he has any plans to narrow the gap between the married man's tax allowance and the single person's tax allowance.
