Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how long each of those 34 schoolboys held on remand in 1978 and eventually found not guilty were held, and where;

(2) how many of the 813 schoolboys remanded in custody in 1978 and eventually given a non-custodial sentence were held (a) up to one week, (b) one to two weeks, (c) two to three weeks, (d) up to one month, (e) up to six weeks, (f) up to two months, (g) up to three months, and (h) over three months;

(3) how many of the 111 schoolgirls remanded in custody in 1978 and eventually given a non-custodial sentence were held (a) up to one week, (b) one to two weeks, (c) two to three weeks, (d) up to one month (e) up to six weeks, (f) up to two months, (g) up to three months and (h) over three months;

(4) how long each of the five schoolgirls remanded in custody in 1978 and eventually found not guilty were held, and where.
