asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his policy towards the use of meters for charges for domestic water supply.

Mr. Fox

My right hon. Friend would like to consider the full implications of such a change before taking a view on it.

Mr. Beith

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will introduce rate rebate for water and sewerage charges.

Mr. Fox

My right hon. Friend has no plans to do so.
