§ Dr. VaughanThe provision of body scanning facilities under the National Health Service is a matter for health authorities in the light of their priorities and the financial resources available to them.
The only body scanner in the North-Western and Mersey regions is at Manchester university. A second scanner is on order for the Christie hospital and Holt Radium Institute and is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
