§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether there are any State registered, State enrolled or registered mental nurses working in prison hospitals—or hospitals in other penal establishments—who are not members of the prison service; how many such nurses are employed by the Home Office; how many are agency nurses; and in which prison hospitals they are situated.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesAt 27 March there were 35, all of them agency nurses. Their places of employment were Askham Grange, Drake Hall, Holloway, Styal, and Wormwood Scrubs prisons; Bullwood Hall and East Sutton Park borstals; and Low Newton and Pucklechurch remand centres.
