HC Deb 27 March 1979 vol 965 cc127-8W
Mr. Russell Kerr

asked the Attorney-General whether his noble Friend is satis- fied with the powers of the Law Society to discipline solicitors who habitually default on the payment of the fees they owe to barristers; whether he has any plans to seek to increase those powers; and if he will make a statement.

The Solicitor-General

My noble and learned Friend is satisfied with the powers of the Law Society, in this respect. If there is evidence of any particular difficulty my noble and learned Friend will be ready to consider it.
