§ Mr. Lomasasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce amending regulations to ensure that in the case of arranged marriages involving Pakistani girls and Indian girls already in the United Kingdom they should not be allowed to apply for fiancés in Pakistan or India to join them, in 4W view of the fact that in towns like Huddersfield there are already approximately 12,000 Pakistanis and Indians; and if he will make a statement to the effect that there is now a sufficient number of potential husbands in the United Kingdom at present.
