Miss Margaret Jackson

In 1978 my right hon. Friend approved 77 proposals to close primary schools of which 49 were in rural areas. She rejected two proposals—one urban and one rural.

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many section 13 notices to close village schools she has approved over the last year in the constituency of Brigg and Scunthorpe.
