HC Deb 23 March 1979 vol 964 cc159-60W
Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will give details of the progress so far of the review his Department is undertaking of statistical forms and the effect the sending out of such forms has on industry and small firms in particular.

Mr. Les Huckfield

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 12 March 1979; Vol. 964, c. 43], gave the following information:

My review is making good progress. The number of forms sent to small firms has been cut by the equivalent of 9,000 a year, or by about a quarter of the forms sent to small firms in those surveys so far reviewed.
