§ Mr. DuffyThe Armed Forces Pay Review Body is currently considering the pay award due to the three Services from April, 1979, and I cannot anticipate its findings: these will be published in its report. But I can repeat what was said last May: the Forces will have a pay increase in April 1979 which will consist broadly of half the amount required to bring them up to the full military salary for April 1978 together with whatever amount is required to update the award to April 1979.—[Vol. 950, c. 1148.]
