HC Deb 12 March 1979 vol 964 cc48-9W
Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how much accommodation is currently unused at the St. Nicholas hospital nurses' home, Plum-stead; and what future uses for the building are now under consideration.

Mr. Deakins

There are two nurses homes with a total of about 25,000 sq ft of unused accommodation. The area health authority is reviewing the future use of this unused accommodation and is exploring the possibility of converting some of it into office accommodation for NHS staff who are at present mainly in rented accommodation.
