asked the Secretary of State for Trade, in view of the fact that he thinks it unwise for tankers to sail between the Ve Skerries and Papa Stour, what steps he is taking to prevent it.

At a meeting with the oil companies and other local interests on 15 March, my officials hope to reach an agreement whereby tankers en route to and from the oil terminal at Sullom Voe will stay west of the Ve Skerries.
