§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what has been his practice in the current year concerning statements of European Economic Community business in the House; whether this practice has differed from that of 1978; and if he will make a statement on his future intentions.
§ Mr. JuddThe usual practice is to make an oral statement to the House on forthcoming business. On the last three occasions the parliamentary timetable has required that the statements be made by means of written parliamentary questions. My right hon. Friend hopes that it will be possible in the future to revert to the ususal oral statements.
