§ 15. Mr. McCuskerasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will outline the measures that have been taken by the Southern Education and Library Board to avoid abuses of the education system by citizens of the Irish Republic using accommodation addresses in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. CarterThe Southern Education and Library Board has made arrangements for the addresses stated on application forms by persons either holding or applying for awards to be checked. I am satisfied that these arrangements will provide a satisfactory safeguard against abuses by persons not entitled to benefit from the education system in Northern Ireland.
