Mr. Scott-Hopkins

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will list the local authorities which have taken advantage of the subsidy which the EEC is providing and are supplying free milk for the seven- to 11-year-olds in their schools.

In the current school term, 55 local education authorities and seven non-metropolitan district councils in England are providing free milk to seven- to 11-year-olds in their schools, thereby taking advantage of the subsidy of 4.8p per pint from the EEC on milk provided for schoolchildren.
