asked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the estimated cost per annum of a salary increase for the Services of each percentage point in excess of the 9½ per cent. representing the staged increase to which the Government are already committed plus a further 5 per cent. reflecting the current round of pay policy referred to in paragraph 147 of Cmnd. 7474.
