§ Mr. Langasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the serious plight of many hill farmers in Scotland and of the urgency of reviewing the compensatory allowances for cattle and sheep, available under the European Economic Community less favoured area directive, he is yet able to make a statement.
§ Mr. YoungerMy right hon. Friends and I have been reviewing the economic situation in the hill farming industry following representations from the farmers' unions for further assistance. We hope to make an announcement soon.
