§ Mr. WigginOur aim is to secure recognition in the Community that environmental health officers are qualified to carry out supervision and provide public health certification of meat products under this directive. Pending discussions and decisions in Brussels on this matter, other member States are continuing to require veterinary supervision and certification, and we are therefore making the necessary arrangements to enable our export trade in meat products to continue.
