§ Mr. Higginsasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will issue a general directive to the Post Office to show directly in its accounts the cost of official paid stationery.
§ 19 Mr. Michael Marshall, pursuant to his reply [Official Report,June 1979], gave the following answer:
No. Payments to the Post Office by Government Departments for use of official paid envelopes are assessed on the basis of normal public tariffs. Mail or Post Office business is charged to the various postal, telecommunications or girobank services which originate it.
