§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish (a) the names of the education authorities in England whose estimated net expenditure on education per head of population was less than or equal to £108.47p in 1978–79, and (b) the net expenditure per head of population by such education authorities in 1978–79.
§ Mr. Mark CarlisleMy Department does not prepare figures of expenditure for each local education authority. Certain analyses of their estimates and expenditure are contained in the education statistics published annually by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, copies of which are available in the Library.
