HC Deb 18 June 1979 vol 968 c366W
Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what expansion of provisions for handicapped young people over 16 years is contemplated in the light of the recommendations of the Warnock committee (a) in schools and sixth form colleges, (b) in further and higher education and (c) in adult training and day centres.

Dr. Boyson

The Warnock committee's report is wide-ranging and is of concern to a number of Government Departments. My right hon. and learned Friend is studying the report and in the light of consultations will be considering with other interested Ministers what action is desirable and possible on the different recommendations, including those to which the hon. Member refers.
