Mr. John Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) when he expects to be able to dispose of any of Her Majesty's Government's holdings in the Nuclear Power Corporation; and whether he intends to discuss his plans with the corporation's work force;

(2) when he expects to be able to dispose of any of Her Majesty's Government's holdings in the National Coal Board; and if he intends to discuss his plans with the National Coal Board's work force;

(3) when he expects to be able to dispose of any of Her Majesty's Government's holdings in the British Gas Corporation; and whether he intends to discuss his plans with the industry's work force;

(4) when he expects to be able to dispose of any of Her Majesty's Government's holdings in the area electricity boards; and whether he intends to discuss his plans with the various boards' work forces;

(5) when he expects to be able to dispose of any of Her Majesty's Government's holdings in the Central Electricity Generating Board; and whether he intends to discuss his plans with the board's work force;

(6) when he expects to be be able to dispose of any of Her Majesty's Government's holdings in the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority; and whether he intends to discuss his plans with the industry's work force;

(7) when he expects to be able to dispose of any of Her Majesty's Government's holdings in British Nuclear Fuels Limited; and whether he intends to discuss his plans with the company's work force.

As my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer said in his Budget speech, we have embarked on our review of the scope for the sale of assets in the public sector. We shall be taking all relevant considerations into account including the views of those employed in the industries.
