§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe Airedale public inquiry which had been planned for the end of this year will be slightly delayed to avoid any overlap with the public inquiry into the Kirkhamgate.Dishforth trunk road proposals, which is planned for the autumn. These road schemes are independent of each other, but there could be inconvenience to those people with an interest in both if the inquiries were held concurrently.
The route proposed in a draft order last December will be presented by the Department at the public inquiry as the best solution to the traffic problems in the Aire valley.
