HC Deb 11 June 1979 vol 968 cc122-3W
Mr. Mike Thomas

asked the Prime Minister (1) whether the guidance from the Central Policy Review Staff on the orders for the turbine generators for the advanced gas-cooled reactor power stations made available to the previous Government has also been made available to her;

(2) pursuant to her reply to the hon. Member for Newcastle upon Tyne, East, what information she has received from the Central Policy Review Staff on the advanced gas-cooled reactor turbo-generators orders.

The Prime Minister

I have received futher advice from the CPRS about these turbine generator orders. I do not propose to publish details of confidential advice submitted to me.

Mr. Mike Thomas

asked the Prime Minister why she decided that the Central Policy Review Staff should not be asked to provide any further guidance on the turbine generator orders for the advanced gas-cooled reactor power stations; and on what date this instruction was given.

The Prime Minister

I have made no such decision.
