HC Deb 27 July 1979 vol 971 c695W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services on what evidence he based his figures on the incidence of blindness arising from toxicara canis.

Sir George Young

I am aware of reports of sight being damaged by this disease. In the 15 cases reported to the public health laboratory service during 1977 and 1978, there were no cases of blindness, but reference was made to eye disease in eleven cases.
