§ Sir George YoungComprehensive information on the ethnic origin of immigrants and of emigrants is not available. For persons of new Commonwealth and Pakistani ethnic origin, estimates of the net balance of migration have been published in "Population Trends 9" pages 4 to 7 and in OPCS Monitor PP1 78/4. Analyses of immigrants and emigrants by citizenship and by country of birth, but not by ethnic group, are published by the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys in its annual reference volume "International Migration"—Series MN No. 3—and in OPCS Monitor MN 79/3.
