§ Mr. Dodsworthasked the Minister of Transport if, when the M1 motorway widening scheme between Berrygrove and Breakspears is completed, he expects the A41 and A5 trunk roads to receive some relief from traffic.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe purpose of widening the M1 is to relieve over-loading on the motorway itself. We do not expect there to be noticeable relief to the A41 trunk road or the A5183, formerly the A5 trunk road.
