asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will emphasise to Commonwealth Governments and others the total priority of a morally and ethically just solution in Zimbabwe-Rhodesia.

Lord CARRINGTON

Her Majesty's Government are making it clear in the course of their consultations with Commonwealth and other Governments that their objective is a settlement in accordance with the wishes of the people of Rhodesia as a whole and capable of winning wide international acceptance.
