HC Deb 26 July 1979 vol 971 c361W
Mr. Campbell-Savours

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if there has been a review of the emergency services in the Lancaster district since the advent of low flying military aircraft over densely populated industrial areas in the light of a recent fatal air crash.

Mr. Pattie

Under the strict rules governing military low flying, military aircraft do not overfly densely populated industrial areas at low level. This flying is conducted mainly over open spaces although it is not possible to avoid over-flying some smaller communities. Arrangements exist for the co-ordination of civil and military emergency services in the event of any aircraft crash and I have no reason to doubt their adequacy.
