HC Deb 26 July 1979 vol 971 c396W
24. Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what representations he has received concerning the inadequacy of the proposed Customs and immigration facilities for general aviation at Gatwick airport during the construction of the passenger terminal extension by the British Airports Authority.

Mr. Tebbit

I have received a number of representations about the proposed changes in the arrangements for Customs and immigration clearance for general aviation at Gatwick. The British Airports Authority has been considering this matter with Her Majesty's Customs and the immigration service and I understand there will be a meeting shortly with the principal organisations representing general aviation users to discuss certain revised procedures with them.
