HC Deb 25 July 1979 vol 971 c271W
Mr. Peter Griffiths

asked the Minister for the Civil Service whether the delay in implementing the pay scales for the Royal Naval Auxiliary Service has been caused by his Department; and if he will make a statement as to the reason for the delay.

Mr. Channon

Revised scales for the Royal Naval Auxiliary Service had to be calculated and agreed with the relevant union following the settlement reached in May for the administration group, to which these grades are linked for pay purposes. The Society of Civil and Public Servants agreed to the new scales on 26 June. They have been authorised and will be implemented as soon as possible.
