HC Deb 24 July 1979 vol 971 cc221-2W
Mr. Dan Jones

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total cost of building the new railway station at Milton Keynes; how much of this is being borne by the British Railways Board; and how much is being paid for out of central Government funds.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

The station was estimated in 1977 to cost £3 million. British Rail will pay one third and Mil- ton Keynes development corporation two thirds. There is no specific central Government grant.
