HC Deb 24 July 1979 vol 971 cc127-8W
Q31. Mr. Dobson

asked the Prime Minister when she proposes to seek to mount a full judicial or parliamentary inquiry into the actions revealed by the Bingham report; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

The Bingham report was referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions last September. He is carrying out full inquiries to determine whether criminal proceedings should be undertaken. I cannot comment further at this stage. As to the question of a further parliamentary inquiry, I have nothing to add to the statement made by my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal on 13 June.
