§ Sir Ian GilmourThe Government share the view expressed in the resolution that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will continue to have an indispensable role to play and agree also on the importance of close working relations between the Assembly and the European Parliament. But the way in which co-operation can be enhanced must be for the bodies themselves to determine.
