§ Mr. Barry Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Wales how many nursery units there are in the Clwyd local education authority; what is his estimate of the numbers proposed for closure consequent upon the announcement of the Budget Statement regarding cuts in education expenditure; how many pupils are in these units; how many teachers, nursery assistants and ancillary staff will be redeployed or made redundant; what is the total estimated savings to be made by the proposed closures; and if he will make a statement.
