HL Deb 04 July 1979 vol 401 cc499-500WA
Lord BALFOUR of INCHRYE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have sought, independently of any inter-governmental approaches on these issues, the views of individual foreign airlines on likely effects on traffic and costs of either transferring their services to Gatwick from Heathrow, or splitting services between the two airports.

Lord TREFGARNE

The foreign airlines concerned have been represented throughout in the discussions about the transfer of their scheduled air services from Heathrow to Gatwick. The extent to which they have provided information on the effects on traffic and costs has varied.
